PADI Adventure/Advancved Open Water Diver

ADVENTURE DIVER
To gain the Adventure Diver qualification students complete any 3 dives from the Adventures in Diving manual. Pre requisites, students must hold a PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization) Minimum age: 15 years old (10 years old for PADI Junior Adventure Diver)
ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER
To gain the Advanced Open Water Diver qualification students complete any 5 dives with 2 compulsory dives (Navigation & Deep) and any 3 other dives from the Adventures in Diving manual. Pre requisites, students must hold a PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization) and minimum age 15 years old (12 for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver). If you have already completed the Adventure diver programme you only have 2 dives remaining to complete. In order to gain the Advanced Open Water qualification students will need to complete 5 dives including deep and navigation.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver qualification allows you to explore more of the underwater world and opens up dive sites that were previously out of your experience/qualification range. Students maximum depth limit is increased from 18 meters to 30 meters (21 meters for Junior’s). All dives completed on the Advanced Open Water course count towards the 1st dive of any speciality dives you wish to complete in the future.
The Adventure Diver course can be completed in as little as one day. The Advanced Open Water Course will be over 2-3 days.
There are five dives in total for the Advanced Open Water qualification with 2 mandatory dives being Navigation and Deep dive (max 30m). Students may choose from 3 other dives available through Haven Diving Services:

If you are completing a dry-suit dive we recommend that you first attend a pool session so that our Instructors can familiarize you with your dry-suit before progressing into open water. You will get free use of all diving equipment for the course (due to size, shape and numbers Haven Diving Services does not provide Dry Suits for any courses)

COURSE COST
Adventure Diver = £249.00pp (3 dives)
Advanced Open Water Diver = £290.00pp (5 dives)
Upgrade from Adventure diver to Advanced diver = £100.00pp (2 dives)
Any additional Adventure dives you wish to take = £65.00pp per dive.
Course extra fees, usually £16.00pp (Chepstow Quarry only used if conditions in Pembrokeshire have deteriorated).
